Tish has been practising meditation and mindfulness and teaching adults for well over 20 years. She is a qualified and accredited Breathworks Mindfulness and Pain Management Trainer.
Tish is fascinated by the relationship between mindfulness, chronic pain, illness and wellbeing. Breathworks has informed her own practice, helping her to live well with chronic health issues. She feels passionate about sharing what she has learned.
Kalyanavaca has been practising meditation and mindfulness for over 40 years. She is a fully accredited Breathworks mindfulness trainer, and has many years of experience in teaching meditation and mindfulness in both country retreat and city settings, most recently at the London Buddhist Centre.
She is excited by the effects of mindfulness on daily life, and particularly its benefits for chronic health issues She has witnessed the transforming effects of mindfulness and compassion on people's lives, enabling them to live life well again after many years of disabling ill-health. She would love many more people to benefit from Breathworks' unique approach to chronic pain.
Tish and Kalyanavaca have been working together to deliver the 8-week version of this course for the past few years in London's East end. They are excited about delivering this new version of the course, aimed at local people with potentially low levels of language and literacy.
